A new Hem Edge machine has been installed in our manufacturing facility. It will improve the process of finishing or hemming the edge of the screen strips that are later turned into cylindrical wire cloth filters and strainers.
The design criteria established for the new machine was to include an inherent and conclusive approach to operator safety along with detailed attention to ergonomics. Quiet, dependable operation and a modern operator interface were incorporated into the design along with a robust roller-set, bearings and cage.
With increased reliability the machine throughput is now better than ever. Dimensional control is improved and the appearance of the finished edge for the cylindrical wire cloth filters we produce is exceptional.
Records show that machine uptime and work center efficiency has increased over the previous system.
